The Bicycle Story

blood suck

Posted on January 4th, 2008 by Robert

TeethYesterday was spent partially at the dentist. He was attempting to scrape years of neglect off of my teeth. At the place we go to, they are all wonderfully nice people, but I could tell he was frustrated with me. Apparently chemotherapy drastically increased some of the decay on some of my back teeth and is posing some problems for me. There is a chance that I need a few permanent replacements. We aren’t exactly wealthy these days so it is frustrating to have yet another bill to add to the list.

I drove home yesterday hoping to eat some food, any food. The “eating better” so far has just made me really hungry. We need to get to a store soon so we have some more options. Once there, I find out that our microwave broke at some point in the day.

I started to get really short tempered so I grabbed a glass of wine and laid out on the couch. Jane made me dinner, Frankie sat on my chest, and all was well.

It is difficult to put things into perspective when life is taking its punches, but I’m still here and Jane is right here with me.
